The Indian High Group of Schools celebrated the International Day of Peace at its Oud Metha campus both virtually and in person on 21st and 22nd September. Aligned with this year’s theme – Shaping Peace Together – our celebrations emphasized the importance of working together as well as promoted peace in all its forms – peace in society, peace with nature and peace with self.

As a part of the celebrations, we installed Peace Poles across the campus as a symbol to inspire, awaken and uplift the spirit during this challenging time of the pandemic. Each Peace Pole put up in the campus bears the message “May Peace Prevail on Earth” in different languages. Students of grades 5 to 8 hand painted the poles with vibrant colours and messages. Mr. Punit MK Vasu, CEO joined the celebrations and along with Head Girl and Head Boy planted the peace poles at the Oud Metha campus.

A life-size canvas was put up for our staff to express peace in their own creative way. Also, our students across all grades observed a minute of silence in remembrance of the lives lost due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

The collective and creative effort from the entire IHS community was extraordinary and reflects how strongly we believe that #WeAreAllInThisTogether. We, at the Indian High Group of Schools’ are proud to be living in a country that is a shining example of peace where 200 nationalities coexist in peace and harmony.
