Cleanliness Week was conducted on June 4th. This cleanliness day imbibed good habits to students in which they will carry throughout their lives. They talked about proper hygiene and cleanliness. They were also encouraged to talk about taking care of the environment during the class.
Friendship Day was held on June 11th. This day was celebrated during the Kid’s Happy Time. Students made a friendship card for their friend. A story about friendship was also narrated and afterwards, they were given ample time to eat together as friends via online snack party. It was a day of fun and dance for them.
Crazy Hat Day was held on June 18th. Through this fun session, students came to class with their cute hats, especially made and designed by their parents for them. They danced along together with their hats as props. Games associated with hats were also done and they really had lots of fun.
Father’s Day was celebrated on June 21st. On this day, “Cooking with Dad” was arranged. Students enjoyed working in the kitchen with their father. It was such a special bonding between a father and a child. They also made a portrait of their father with the theme “My Dad, My Hero” as one that they really looked up to. They gave their specially drawn portrait to their father and sang a song for them.
KG 1 & KG 2
SSCS (Term 1) was organised on June 2nd. This session was an opportunity for one-on-one zoom meeting of the class teacher with the parent concern. It was a collaborative effort of teachers and parents to improve the learning performance and social behaviour of students.
Gratitude Day was held on June 11th. Through this day, students made a short video thanking our essential workers for all the effort they are doing to save lives. It was an appreciation and high regards to all the frontliners for risking their lives to serve people during this time.
Father’s Day was celebrated on Juen 21st. This day was an opportunity to honor and show love to all the fathers. A video of the father & child engaged in activity or bonding moment and the father & child decorated a personalized Father’s Day necktie during the live session were included.
Cleanliness Week was conducted from June 21st to 25th. During this activity, students talked about the importance of being clean to one’s self, home and surroundings. It concluded with a fun and educational activity on their section’s Fun Session through games related to cleanliness. They also wore headbands/headdress decorated with different materials we use for cleaning. It created awareness among them on the importance of cleanliness to one’s self, home and environment.
Show and Tell Activity (English) planned on June 14th was cancelled as per instructions of higher authorities. This activity was a part of the class assessment thus this was not repeated as sectional activity.
Pencil Sharpening Activity planned on June 18th was cancelled as per instructions of the Art team. It was done before in art class thus this was not repeated as sectional activity.
Grade 1 & 2
Environmental Poster Making and Slogan Writing (World Environment Day Celebration) was concluded on June 4th. These activities aimed to develop awareness on the importance of making the planet green and respecting nature. Students learnt the value of sustainability in daily life. They came up with beautiful ideas and vibrant posters with special messages on how to take care of our environment. They exhibited their beautiful piece of work.
JAM Competition (English) planned on June 11th was postponed as per instructions of higher authorities. Date is not fixed yet.
International Yoga Day was celebrated on June 21st. All students, parents and staff were invited to participate in a live session of yoga presented from the IHS Oud Mehta campus. It aimed to develop fitness of mind & body and enhance mindfulness. It also created awareness among them about the importance of yoga and how to implement it in our daily lives.
Father’s Day was held on June 21st. This day was celebrated with great excitement on the online platform with girls’ students making lemonade and singing song during L3 session. Boys’ students made greeting cards for their dads and acknowledged their contribution. They felt a deep respect for their fathers through these activities and strengthened their bonds. They expressed their love and respect to their fathers in different ways. It also helped to develop awareness on the role of fathers in shaping the lives of children.

Grade 1 (Girls)
Poster Making with the theme titled ‘Eat Healthy and Be Safe’ was conducted on June 16th. The purpose was to inculcate the habit of having healthy food in daily life and keeping safe. Students expressed their beautiful ideas and made vibrant posters with special messages on the topic. They learned how to take care of their health by eating healthy food. It was a sync activity conducted in the live science class.
Grade 1 & 2 (Girls)
Design a Happy Classroom was organised on June 18th. Through this activity, students designed a happy classroom which they would love to come back to. It was also an opportunity for them to showcase their math skills. It helped to recall their knowledge on 2D shapes and how to implement it in their happy classroom design.
Grade 1 & 2 (Boys)
Poster Making with the theme titled ‘Eat Healthy and Be Safe’ planned on June 16th & 17th was cancelled as per instructions of higher authorities. It was conducted by the Art and MEP department as in-class activity thus this was not repeated as sectional activity.
Grade 2 (Boys)
Design a Happy Classroom planned on June 18th was cancelled as per instructions of higher authorities. It was conducted as in-class activity thus this was not repeated as sectional activity.
Grades 1 to 4
School PFG was organised on June 30th. The objective was to enable clear communication regarding school policies, functioning systems and concerns with parents. The school reviewed the suggestions of the parent body and incorporated changes if deemed suitable for the welfare of the students.
Grade 3 (Girls)
SST Activity - National Symbols of the UAE was organised on June 15th. Through this activity, students appreciated the different aspects of the country we live in. They got a clear insight about the significance of each of these national symbols.
Know Your BMI was conducted on June 22nd. Students were asked to research about BMI and use the data related to their height & weight to calculate their own BMI. It helped them understand the importance of body mass index.
Grade 3 & 4 (Girls)
PPT Presentation on ‘Health & Safety’ was conducted on June 1st. This presentation created awareness among students about health and safety in the current pandemic situations. The importance of happiness and being healthy were also discussed to promote further a healthier and a happier life.
Activity – People of India (Freedom Fighter) was organised on June 4th. Students solved an online crossword puzzle based on the topic. It aimed to increase their knowledge about the freedom fighters of India.
Islamic Poster Making (Inter-house Competition) was conducted on June 8th & 9th. During this competition, students from grade 3 participated enthusiastically with their drawing skills while Islamic students from grade 4 created a poster with the theme titled ‘Eid’. It helped to enhance their creativity towards the topic titled the ‘Holy Month of Ramadan’.
Open House (PTCS) was organised from June 24th till 30th. This parent - teacher meetings took place on the online platform. It aimed to communicate students’ progress with their parents.
Mandala Art activity was organised on June 25th. The purposed was to expose students to Mandala Art which is a geometric configuration of symbols.
Student Council Meeting was conducted on June 30th. Student Council members took part in the meeting to discuss relevant school matters. It helped to develop their leadership skills, time management and discipline.
Grade 4 (Girls)
SST Activity – We are the World (World Culture) was organised on June 11th. This activity created awareness among students of the different culture of the world.
Grade 3 & 4
World Environment Day was held on June 4th. This day was a campaign celebrated annually to inspire people worldwide to stop negative environmental changes. It was established to focus on environment conditions and encourage people to be the active part of positive changes in the environment on earth in order to ensure the safe future of our planet. Students learnt how to recycle & make messages through thought for the day, craftwork on best out of waste and innovative slogans designed by them. They also expressed their views on how they can contribute to a greener and cleaner world in recess radio. It helped to encourage awareness and action for the protection of our environment.
Math Exhibition was conducted from June 14th to 18th. This exhibition was an opportunity for students to showcase their skills in different math topics. It also aimed to build confidence in their mathematics skills, promote interest in math, challenge young minds and enrich their vision. They made an object and spoke for a minute about the object and posted their video either on google classroom or flipgrid. The links were available so that other students could visit these assignments.
Father’s Day activity was celebrated on June 21st. Through this day, students learnt how to create some amazing cards and make Father’s Day special for their superhero dads. They created greeting cards for their fathers as a gift of their love and affection.
International Yoga Day was held on June 21st. This day created awareness among the whole school community about the holistic benefits of yoga. It was successfully celebrated and conducted with live telecast for families of the Indian High Group of Schools. Recess radio speech on the importance of yoga and healthy lifestyle was also included.
Grade 3 (Boys)
People of India (Freedom Fighter) - SST was organised on June 2nd. Through this activity, students participated in puzzle or google form quiz posted in pro profs.com. They also got a certificate for accurate answers. It aimed a better understanding of freedom fighters of India.
English Recitation was conducted on June 4th. Students recorded a video in which they recited any poem of their choice and submitted it in google classroom assignments. It was an opportunity for them to recite the poem with confidence, voice modulation, expression and gestures.
Grade 3 & 4 (Boys)
Live, Love and Laugh (L3 Session) was continued till this month. Every morning students were involved in school prayer, thought for the day and mindfulness session. It was a healthy way of starting their day. It also gave them energetic start along with some thoughtfulness.
Online Recess Radio was continued till this month. This activity offered entertainment along with information by various ways. Students prepared speeches on relevant topics emphasizing on important days, recent happenings, basic etiquettes or even their views and suggestions on school activities. It was a platform to voice their opinions which truly matters.
Leadership Training and Student Council Meeting planned on June 5th, 6th & 24th were postponed (date yet to be announced). Student Council was not formed by the time mentioned because of few responses and the dates needed to be extended.
Islamic Poster Making was organised on June 8th for grade 3 on the topic ‘Ramadan’ and on June 9th for grade 4 on the topic ‘Eid’. Students exhibited their artistic and creative skills to portray the given topics.
JAM Competition was conducted on June 11th. During this competition, students selected any one topic out of five topics. They were also given 5 minutes to ponder upon it and speak in front of the live class. It helped to develop their speaking skills and boosts confidence.
SST Activity (We are the World) was organised on June 11th. Through this activity, students participated in quiz on world culture – language spoken, food, tourist destination of different countries. It aimed to develop their interest in knowing the various cultures of different countries.
SST Activity – Symbols of the Union (Emirati Culture) was conducted on June 15th. Quiz was posted with pictures in google classroom. It helped students to know and appreciate the culture of UAE.
Declamations planned on June 16th for Arabic, on June 17th for English and on June 29th for Hindi were cancelled as the review assessment started and there was DLE inspections.
Know Your BMI was organised on June 22nd. Students calculated their BMI as instructed. It aimed to keep themselves fit with healthy eating and healthy lifestyle. This BMI indicates whether their weight is outside of the healthy weight range for your height or within the range or below it. Knowing it helped them focus on their eating and living patterns.
Investiture Ceremony was held on June 27th. This ceremony helped to inculcate in students the qualities of leadership, discipline, responsibility, team spirit and more.
Open House was conducted on June 30th. The objective was to discuss the progress and behavior of the students. It was an online parent-teacher meeting on zoom. They connected to discuss the improvement on students learning.

Wellbeing Care Letters were organised through the entire month of June, 2020 for students, parents and staff. These letters equipped them with concrete tools for them to practice well-being. It also helped them enhance their wellbeing & positivity and strengthen their coping skills & mental health.
KG 1 & KG 2
International Yoga Day was celebrated on June 21st. Believing in a holistic approach to health and well-being students, parents & teachers joined the live yoga session through live streaming hosted by The Indian High Group of Schools. It helped to make them aware on the benefits of yoga to one’s body.
PTCS was organised on June 4th. This fruitful session aimed to discuss the progress and behavior of the students as well as the areas of concern. Parents had a chance to have a one-on-one discussion about their ward’s performance via zoom. It made them aware of their ward’s improvements.
