GRADE - WISE

KG 1

Show and Tell activity will be organized on October 18th. This activity will help students to develop their self-esteem, encourage them to say a sentence or two about an object and answer prompt questions. It will also help them organize their thoughts on a certain topic.

Fruit Salad Day will be held on October 22nd. Through this day, students will identify the different kinds of fruits in a fruit salad and know its nutritional benefits. It will make them aware where to find the fruits and understand the importance by emphasizing the need of fresh fruits in their daily diet. It also aims to enjoy making a fruit salad by themselves.

Thematic Assembly will be conducted on October 25th. The objective is to encourage student’s participation. They will recognize and identify common fruits & vegetables and its importance.

Sandwich Making will be organized on October 29th.This activity will help students to develop their life skills and encourage independence. It will also be an opportunity to practice fine-motor skills and foster self-confidence.

KG 2

Talent Show will be conducted on October 21st. Students will showcase their talents during the section’s fun activity. It aims to demonstrate and showcase their skill or talent of their choice.

Thematic Assembly will be held on October 26th. During this assembly, students from division ‘K’ will present the topic ‘fruits and vegetables’. It will help them appreciate and know the importance of fruits & vegetables.

Grade 1 (Girls)

English Declamation will be conducted on October 5th. Students will get a boost to their confidence with their speeches in the online classes. It will also help to enhance their language skills such as spontaneity, fluency and expression.

Nasheed Competition will be held on October 22nd. The purpose is to spread and create awareness among students about Islam. They will also get a chance to be more confident in sharing their knowledge while keeping up with the spirit of participation.

Grade 1 (Boys)

Nasheed Competition will be conducted on October 29th. This competition will help students to develop respect for holy scriptures, recite for love of Allah and to gain healthy spirit to perform well. They will be able to follow the good sayings in the Holy Book and stay humble & kind.

Grade 1 & 2 (Boys)

English Declamation will be conducted on October 5th. Through this declamation, students will gain confidence to deliver their pieces on a virtual platform. It will help to develop their audibility, fluency and expression in language skills.

Open House will be organized on October 26th & 27th. The objective is to update parents on the academic progress of their wards and work on their strengths & areas of concern. Parents will be able to assist their ward at home with the guidance of the teacher’s suggestions for academics and personal concerns if any.

Grade 2 (Boys)

Hindi Declamation competition will be conducted on October 28th. This competition will help students to develop their audibility, fluency and expression in language skills. It will also help them gain confidence to deliver their pieces on a virtual platform.

Qira’t Competition will be held on October 28th. Students will be able to follow the good sayings in the Holy Book and stay humble & kind. It will also help to inculcate love of reciting the Holy Quran in the manner taught by the Prophet (PBUH).

Grade 3 (Girls)

Qira’t Competition will be held on October 29th. This competition will be an opportunity for students to show their recitation skills and knowledge of the Holy Quran recitation rules. It will help to enhance their recitation skills with proper Tajweed rules.

Grade 3 & 4 (Girls)

International Day of Non-Violence (Gandhi Jayanti) will be held on October 1st. Students will watch the PPT and attempt an online quiz on non-violence. It aims to promote awareness and importance of non-violence and peace.

World Food Day (SST) will be celebrated on October 14th. Students will be engaged in poster making for creating awareness about ‘World Food Day’. They will highlight the importance of not wasting food. It will create awareness among them about how to prevent food wastage.

Tinker Cad Making competition will be conducted on October 26th. This competition will be an opportunity for students to showcase their skills in creating different models in Tinker Cad. It will also help to build their confidence in model making and develop 3D concepts.

Open House will be organized on October 27th. Through this session teachers will discuss the performance of students with their parents and answer the related queries. They will also provide guidelines on how parents could support and encourage their wards to be successful learners.

Student Council Meeting will be conducted on October 28th. Student leaders will take part in the Student Council meeting to discuss relevant school matters. It aims to develop their leadership skills, time management and discipline.

Grade 3 (Boys)

Qirat Competition (SST) will be conducted on October 26th. The objective is to inculcate love of reciting the Holy Quran in the manner taught by the Prophet (PBUH). It will be an online inter-house competition and an e-certificate will be issued for first & second position.

Grade 3 & 4 (Boys)

Live, Love and Laugh - L3 Session will be conducted during this month (ongoing).Every morning students love the L3 sessions which is a combination of school prayer, thought for the day and mindfulness session which is a healthy way of starting the day. It gives them an energetic start along with some thoughtfulness.

Online Recess Radio will be conducted during this month (ongoing). This activity offers entertainment along with information by various ways. Students prepare speeches on relevant topics emphasizing on important days, recent happenings, basic etiquettes or even their views and suggestions on school activities. It will be a platform to voice their opinions which truly matters. It will also be a unique form to develop their public speaking skills and boosts confidence to speak in an in-house entertainment platform.

International Day of Non-Violence (Gandhi Jayanti) - SST will be held on October 1st. During this day, students will attempt an online Quiz on the topic. It aims in helping them develop their knowledge on the topic better. It will also help them spread the message of non – violence and strive to build a better future for all through peace.

World Food Day (SST) will be celebrated on October 14th. Students will create a poster to create awareness on ‘World Food Day’. They will highlight the importance of not wasting food.

Autodesk Elimination Round will be organized on October 19th. The purpose is to encourage students to actively learn Autodesk.

Open House will be organized on October 27th. The objective is to communicate with parents on one to one basis.

Student Council Meeting will be conducted on October 28th. Student Council will have a virtual meeting with the assigned teachers to discuss the topic titled “Let’s be creative” focusing on health happiness and prosperity. They will also talk on the Islamic values at IHS. It aims in creating awareness about UAE culture, Islam and focusing on Zakat. It will help to enhance their views on the topics.

CLUBS

IHS Clubs begins during this month (TBD) for grades 2 to 4. The purpose is to provide extra support for skill development in the areas of Art, Dance, Cookery, Debate, Oratory Photography, Quizzing and many more. Online clubs with variety of choices for students to enhance their skills and showcase their talent through different modes.

LEARNING CENTRE

A Parent Talk on the topic ‘Overcoming Distance Learning Challenges’ will be held on October 1st for grades 1 to 4 parents whose ward receive Learning Support. This live event via MS Teams will equip parents with strategies to help their ward overcome distance learning challenges.
