GRADE - WISE

KG 1

UAE National Day will be celebrated on November 29th (tentative). Students will be asked to wear Emirati traditional dress or any dress with colours according to UAE Flag. Teacher will discuss about UAE and its culture. This aims to promote awareness of the UAE culture and to celebrate UAE National day with joyful activities to mark the occasion.

KG 2

Thematic Assembly by division ‘M’ with the theme titled “All About UAE” will be held on November 23rd. This assembly will be uploaded in the Teams so students can watch the compiled video. It will help them understand about the UAE’s values and the importance of celebrating national unity.

UAE National Day will be celebrated on November 29th. During the morning assembly, students will sing the UAE National Anthem. They will join the session wearing dresses according to the color of the UAE flag. They will also say few lines why we celebrate UAE National Day on 2nd of December. It will be an opportunity to commemorate the UAE National Day.

Grade 1&2

Commemoration Day will be held on November 26th. Students will imbibe values of selflessness from the observation of the special day. It also aims to recognize the sacrifices & dedication of Emirati martyrs who have given their life in the UAE and abroad in the field of civil, military & humanitarian service.

UAE National Day will be celebrated on November 29th. This day will help students to develop respect for national values of solidarity and unity that strengthen the bonds among the seven emirates. They will learn to respect the contributions of the leaders of UAE, respect the nation and inculcate strong values.

Grade 1&2 (Girls)

Anti-Bullying Week will be observed from November 15th till 19th. During this week, students will be engaged in activities for Anti-Bullying. In asynchronous lesson, the children will be asked to make a buddy batch or a bracelet with anti-bullying words. Informative video links and a quiz will also be shared. In synchronous lesson, the children will be shown a story video on anti-bullying and they will be asked to compliment their classmates in 3-4 sentences. It aims to make them aware of the harmful effects of bullying and the steps they can take to prevent it.

Grade 1&2 (Boys)

Anti-bullying Week will be observed from November 15th till 19th with activities that will be done in a synchronous and an asynchronous mode. During this week, students will be engaged in making book marks based on anti-bullying and kindness cards for their friends. They will also do puppet shows based on the topic “Anti Bullying” in their classes. A special Mime Act will be done by our Safety Ambassadors to reinforce the concept of anti- bullying. The main aim is to develop awareness for the importance of living in a bully free world.

Grade 3&4 (Girls)

Anti- Bullying Week will be conducted from November 15th to 19th. Students will be engaged in activities such as asynchronous lesson on ‘Anti-Bullying: poster making with slogans’ and synchronous for a talk titled ‘Bullying Prevention on IHS FM’ to bring awareness. Showing a movie after L3 session on the topic & discussion about it, taking pledge against bullying will be included. It aims to make them aware of the concept of anti-bullying.

Hindi Creative Writing will be organised on November 17th. This activity will be a best opportunity for students to write and make Ideas for their own story in Hindi and also to improve their language skills. It will also help to develop their creative writing skills and boost confidence.

English Debate will be conducted on November 23rd. The purpose for students is to enhance their public speaking skills, build up their confidence and make them fluent in conversation. It will also help them to express oneself on the given topic, promote the use of intonation, facial & vocal expression and develop their skill of speaking.

Student Council meeting will be organised on November 26th. This meeting aims to prepare students to be ready to face the world inculcating leadership values in them, by being more independent in their thoughts and actions. It will help to develop leadership skills, time management and discipline.

UAE Map Collage (SST) will be organised on November 26th. Students will creatively design the UAE map using recyclable materials of flag colors (Red, Green, Black and White). It will help to enhance their imagination and creativity.

Commemoration Day (Arabic) will be celebrated on November 26th. This day will create awareness among students about the sacrifices and dedication of Emirati martyrs, who have given their lives in the UAE and abroad in the field of civil, military and humanitarian service. Students will watch the video on Commemoration Day and FTF students will witness the flag half hosting in the school.

UAE National Day (Arabic) will be held on November 29th. Through this day, students will celebrate the unity in diversity by indulging in Emirati music, dance, participating in various related activities. They will also learn about the historical and cultural importance of UAE. It aims to inculcate patriotism and a sense of responsibility among students, who are the future citizens of the country, who will pave the way of development of the nation.

Grade 4 (Girls)

Islamic Elocution competition will be conducted on November 30th. The purpose is to make young minds aware of certain Islamic values and enhance their speaking skills about the same. Selected students will deliver a scholarly like speech on the given topic.

Grade 3&4 (Boys)

Online Recess Radio will be conducted during this month (ongoing). This activity offers entertainment along with information by various ways. Students will deliver speeches on relevant topics emphasizing on important days, recent happenings, basic etiquettes or even their views and suggestions on school activities. It will be a platform to voice their opinions which truly matters. It will also be a unique form to develop their public speaking skills and boosts confidence to speak in an in-house entertainment platform.

Anti-Bullying Week will be conducted from November 15th till 19th. During this week, students will be engaged in activities for Anti-Bullying. In async lesson, Anti-Bullying: card making with slogans/captions on anti-bullying. In sync lesson, they will have Quiz on Bullying in School Premises or Outside as a part of Distance Learning. Recess Radio and Pledge on the topic will also be included. It aims to make them aware of the concept of Anti– Bullying.

International Day of Tolerance will be held on November 17th. The objective is to inculcate the value of tolerance among students and to recognize the importance of fitting in a diverse society. Students of grade 3 and 4 will write paragraph on E document and will take pics from Google. They will write 3 to 4 sentences on tolerance towards family, school and community they live in under the caption they select.

Student Council Meeting will be organised on November 18th. This meeting will help the Student Council members to enhance their views on various topics and thus further create awareness amongst other students. They will explore their responsibility to their school community and brainstorm steps they can or could take to remove social barriers. Discussions on World Culture & Community, Talk about diverse needs of the community, Culture as a social Institute will be included. It will help to improve their quality of life on the following character traits - caring, awareness, respect, economic thinking & mindfulness.

UAE Map Collage using Flag colours will organised on November 26th. Students will creatively design the UAE map with recyclable material of Flag colours (Red, Green Black and white). It will be a way of celebrating the UAE National Day and inculcating the importance of the Flag colours.

UAE National Day & Commemoration Day will be celebrated on November 26th & 29th respectively. A few activities will take place to provide opportunities to students to show their happiness, respect and gratitude towards the rulers, citizens and nation in general, Commemoration Day or Martyrs' Day is marked recognizing the sacrifices and dedication of Emirati martyrs. It will help students to learn to appreciate the culture of the UAE and celebrate unity in diversity.

Grade 4 (Boys)

Hindi Declamation will be conducted on November 25th. This competition will help students to enhance & develop their public speaking skills, build up their confidence, and make them fluent in conversation. It will also help them to meet the grade level standards, express oneself on the given topic, promote the use of intonation, facial & vocal expression and develop their skill of speaking & communicating. The topics selected are in accordance with the current pandemic situation. It will enable them to use Hindi in real life situations.

PROGRAM - WISE

Online Curative classes are commencing on November 17th. Classes are offered to students of grades 2, 3 & 4. It will help to boost students’ self-confidence, develop interest and love for the specified subject.

Online Booster classes are commencing on November 17th. Classes are offered to students of grade 3 & 4. It is a unique program for high achievers which aims to develop the self-reliant thinker and researcher in them.

Prayer & Dubai Fitness Challenge: Dubai 30X30@IHS Session will continue till this month. The 30x30 fitness challenge will be conducted in the entire month of November, 2020 (ongoing). This challenge is an initiative from H.H. Sheikh Hamdan. Every morning begins with prayer and the entire school faculty comprising of staff and students join the online events relayed. Various exercises like Yoga, Zumba and Aerobics are conducted live by the Physical Education Team. Students will thoroughly enjoy doing them. The main aim will be to keep the body & mind fit and well. Students will feel ready to face the day with vigour and positivity. It will give an energetic start and help develop a fit body. It also will benefit an active lifestyle with the goal of fostering fitness-focused mindsets and teaching people how to make it happen.

CLUBS

Online Clubs are commencing on November 17th with a plethora of clubs being offered to students of KG1 to Grade 4. Clubs groom students into capable, confident, and tolerant individuals. The club activities are so designed to provide focused experience and will contribute to relaxation.
