Colour Day will be held on May 7th. During this day, students and the teacher will wear their assigned colour. Small talk and fun-filled online activity enhancing the colour concept assigned to them will be included. It will help to enhance their colour concept and improve communication skills.
KG 1 & KG 2
Round Square Activity will be conducted from May 3rd to 13th. The purpose for students is to enhance their love for the environment & their spirit of environmentalism, to appreciate marine life and to express creativity. KG 1 students will create an artwork using recyclable materials like plastic bottles and the likes. KG 2 students will be involved in various activities that are design to encourage them to share and be part of it.
Headmistress Assembly will be conducted on May 6th for KG 1 and on May 7th for KG 2. The objective is to welcome the students through a short speech. Headmistress and the Section Supervisor will be introduced through a video clip.
Mother’s Day will be celebrated on May 10th. KG 1 students will make a photo frame for their mother with their pictures on. They will also tell something about their mother. KG 2 students will learn a song on Mother's Day video. Making of cards to mothers will also be included. It will be an opportunity for them to show recognition and appreciation for their mother. They will express respect, honor and love towards mothers.
Mindfulness / Wellbeing Activity will be organized from May 7th till 28th. Differentiated activities will be sent every Thursday. It aims to increase positive moods of students. It will also help to improve their creativity and physical wellbeing.
Train Ride will be conducted on May 12th. During this activity, a video will be shown to students and teachers will give a short description via live session in zoom. It will help to familiarize them with the different landmarks of Dubai and to see its beauty through virtual video.
Colour Day will be held on May 31st. Through live session on zoom, students will be dressed according to the assigned colour given to them. A show and tell activity will follow. It aims appreciation and awareness of how colors beautify the surroundings.
Grade 1 & 2
World Laughter Day will be celebrated on May 3rd. This day will create awareness among students about the benefits of laughing, to stay healthy and positive. It also aims to convey the importance of spreading joy with smiles and laughter. They will watch a laughter video along with fun classes, spread cheer & joy amidst family and friends sharing jokes or good stories and share the thought for the day in the mindfulness L3 session based on World Laughter Day.
Round Square Activity will be conducted from May 3rd till 13th. The objective is creating awareness among students about the impact of water pollution on the planet. They will learn the application of the 3R’s in their daily life. It also aims to encourage them to actively participate in theme based challenges.
Five Pillars of Islam (Slide Share) will be organized on May 7th. Islamic students will gain knowledge about the five pillars of Islam. They will also respect and abide by the good values learnt through the slide share. They will be familiarized with the values and beliefs of Islam.
Mother’s Day celebration will be held on May 10th. The objective is to celebrate the selflessness of a mother who is a giver and a nurturer. Students will show their appreciation and respect to the role of mothers. It will help them to be more caring. They will also give a helping hand to their mother.
National Bullying Prevention Week (Ant-Bullying) will be held from May 10th to 14th. Through this week, students will be made aware of the prevention and measures to be taken if encountered by bullying. It will help to empower them to resort to correct measures while being bullied and also to avoid bullying others. They will indulge in activities to promote global peace within their surroundings. They will identify the ways to avoid being bullied.
Hindi Good Handwriting competition will be conducted on May 11th for grade 1 and on May 13th for grade 2. This competition will help students to develop their good handwriting skills. They will produce clear, concise and legible handwriting.
Islamic Poster Making competition will be conducted on May 14th. Through this competition, students will learn more about Islam. It will also help to develop awareness on the values of Islam and its teachings.
Show and Tell (Arabic) activity will be organized on May 17th. During this activity, students will be able to converse freely in Arabic at their level. It will help to improve oral skills in Arabic and build fluency on known vocabulary words.
Quiz on UAE will be conducted on May 18th. The objective is to educate students and increase awareness on the various facts about UAE. They will be well versed with the knowledge on UAE.
SSCS will be organized on May 21st. This session will be an opportunity to share progress/ concerns of selected students in key areas of their development with their parents. It will be a fruitful contact session between parents and teachers to build on the existing strength of the students.
Arabic Speaking and Writing activity will be held on May 21st. Through this activity, students will be encouraged to learn Arabic. It will help them enhance their spoken and written skills in Arabic. They will also learn about the festival of Eid al-Fitr.
English Cursive Writing competition will be conducted on May 7th. The purpose is to encourage students to improve their writing skills and build lifelong skills in producing good writing. It will help them create clear, concise and legible handwriting.
Grade 1 & 2 (Boys)
Arabic Remedial Classes will commence on May 3rd. These classes will assist the students to improve their spoken and written language skills in Arabic. It aims to master the Arabic portions taught in the online class.
Book Reading and Book Review will be organized from May 3rd till 31st. The objective is to inculcate the good habit of reading and make it a life time hobby. Students will gain fluency in reading and improve their comprehension skills.
Grade 3 (Girls)
Show and Tell (Arabic) activity will be organized on May 17th. During this activity, students will be able to observe and talk about something that is special to them. It will also help to develop their communication skills and to build confidence.
English Recitation (inter-house competition) will be conducted on May 21st. Students will recite poems in English. It will help them enhance their language skills and develop confidence, memorization & presentation. It will also help them learn to develop content, diction, expression, voice modulation and clarity.
Grade 3 & 4 (Girls)
Book Reading and Book Review will be organized from May 3rd till 31st. The objective is to provide suitable opportunities for reading. Students will read the books and give their reviews about it.
Arabic Activity on Eid al-Fitr will be organized on May 18th. Through this activity, students will develop their knowledge about the importance of Eid al-Fitr. It will also help to enhance their writing and speaking skills in Arabic.
Arabic Declamation (inter-house competition) will be conducted on May 31st. Through this competition, students will enhance their skills in Arabic language and develop confidence, memorization & presentation. They will also learn to develop content, diction, expression, voice modulation and clarity.
Grade 4 (Girls)
English Declamation will be conducted on May 7th. The objective for students is to enhance their public speaking skills, build up their confidence and make them fluent in conversation. It will also help them express oneself on the given topic, promote the use of intonation, facial & vocal expression and develop their skill of speaking.
Hindi Declamation (inter-house competition) will be conducted on May 21st. This competition will help students to enhance their confidence of speaking in Hindi on a given topic. They will speak fluently with clarity, correct pronunciation, facial expression, voice modulation and coherently.
Grade 3 & 4
World Laughter Day will be celebrated on May 3rd. This day aims to promote world peace through laughter and the intention to build up a global consciousness of brotherhood. Students will be reminded that laughter is the best medicine to ward off dangers of modern day monotonous and mechanized lifestyles.
Online Recess Radio will be conducted from May 3rd onwards for boys and from May 6th onwards for girls. This activity will help students to develop their communication, improve literacy skills, build confidence in them and develop public speaking skills. It will also provide an exciting and engaging medium to discuss the issues that are important to them. It offers entertainment along with information by various ways.

They will explore global education platform, utilize available resources and plans for extended learning across the curriculum. It will also encourage them to actively participate in theme based activities and challenges.

Zentangle Art will be organized on May 24th for boys and on May 25th for girls. Students will learn to create designs for their ‘Eid Cards’. It aims to promote among them the spirit of finding creativity. It will help to enhance their creativity.
English Creative Writing activity will be organized on May 24th for grade 4 and on May 31st for grade 3. This activity will be an opportunity for students to write and make ideas for their own story. It will also be an opportunity to recognize their talents in writing creatively with originality. It will help to develop their creative writing skills, boost confidence, foster a love for creative writing and improve their language skills.
Expo Quiz (SST) will be held on May 25th for girls and on May 26th for boys .The objective is to create awareness among students about the challenges faced by humanity on a global scale. It will also be an opportunity for them to participate in the quiz of ‘Expo 2020 and to develop their creative & innovative skills.
Grade 3 (Boys)
Hindi Creative Writing will be conducted organized on May 7th. This activity will be an opportunity to encourage students to write creatively in Hindi. It will also help to improve their language skills.
Hindi Good Handwriting will be conducted on May 25th. The objective is to encourage students to present their hand written work in a beautiful way when they communicate with others. A paragraph will be posted in google classroom and they will write based it.
Grade 3 & 4 (Boys)
Live, Love and Laugh (L3 Session) will be organized during this month. Every morning students will participate in the L3 sessions which are combination of school prayer, thought for the day and mindfulness. It will be a healthy way of starting the day. It aims to give them an energetic start along with some thoughtfulness.
Student Council Selection will be conducted from May 5th till 21st. Online form will be submitted through google doc and online interview session will be scheduled with the selection team & candidates. Online announcement of result will be done.
Show and Tell (Arabic) will be held on May 17th. During this activity, students will show an object and speak about for a minute in Arabic- live sessions in class. It aims to encourage them to learn more about the language.
Eid al- Fitr (Arabic) activity will be organized on May 18th. This activity will be an opportunity for students to display their creative skills. They will make greeting cards online and post it as assignment.
SSCS will be conducted on May 21st. Parents will be updated about their ward’s progress. They will also discuss on how to bring about improvement. It will help to build successful partnership between parents and teachers in developing effective communication techniques that meet the student’s need.
Drawing Competition will be conducted on May 28th. This online competition will help to engage students in a creative exercise. It will also allow them to express themselves through art.
Inception Ceremony will be conducted on May 4th for grade 3 & 4. Students of each house along with the House Mistress and Assistant House Mistress will take an oath online to serve their houses to the best of their abilities. It will help to develop their understanding of the significance of the houses they belong to and to make them aware of the rules & responsibilities.
Achievers Day will be held on May 7th for grades 2 to 4. Students who have excelled in academics will be given certificates to facilitate them on their outstanding performance. It also aims to encourage them to keep up their excellent work.
Sectional PFG (Parent Focus Group) will be organised on May 9th. This zoom live meeting will be an opportunity for parents to impart their inputs and share their views through suggestions & solutions. It will bring out more clarity regarding the best practices and changes required if any. One parent representative from each division will be requested to attend.
Investiture Ceremony will be conducted on May 27th for grade 3 & 4. The objective of this ceremony is to groom students’ personality so as to make them responsible citizens of the world. It will also help to promote intellectual & cultural activity, mental & physical health and building of character. They will be given badges as a reward according to their post.
Well-Being Care Letters will be organised through the entire month of May, 2020 for students, parents and staff. These letters will equip them with concrete tools for them to practice well-being.
