Grade 5 & 6 (Girls)
Chess Competition (digital competition) will be conducted on October 14th. The purpose is to engage students in competitive activities while promoting sound health, safety, and cognitive development.
A Virtual Sectional Picnic will be organised on October 15th. The objective for students is to create a balanced atmosphere for learning, discipline, and development of character.
Thematic Assembly on Girl Child will be held on October 18th. This assembly aims to raise awareness about the rights of girls and to highlight the inequalities that they face in their lives. A tribute to Shakuntala Devi will also be included.
Literacy Week will be conducted from October 19th till 22nd. This week will help to develop students’ holistic approach towards literacy. Apart from the regular planned activities, the Student Council members will plan and execute an inter-house skit competition.
Grade 5 & 6 (Boys)
Gandhi Jayanti activity will be conducted on October 1st. The objective is to honor the birthday of the Father of the Indian Nation, Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi, popularly known as Mahatma Gandhi or Bapuji. Virtual thematic assembly will also be included.
Talent’s Day will be held on October 4th. Through this day, students will be involved in a virtual program for dance, music, instrumental and standup act. It aims to provide them an opportunity to exhibit their artistic and musical talents and thereby improve their self-confidence.
International Food Day will be held on October 15th. Students will be engaged in Salad Making activity. It will help to strengthen international & national solidarity in the struggle against hunger, malnutrition and poverty. It also aims to draw attention to achievements in food and agricultural development.
Literary Fest will be conducted on October 18th. The objective is to promote favourite author’s book and foster the love of literature & writing. Students will participate in virtual demonstration of reading & writing skills. Virtual demonstration of reading & writing skills.
Innovation & Enterprise will be organized on October 21st. This tech based activity will help to challenge the young minds, create something innovative and contribute to technology.
Grade 7 & 8 (Girls)
A Special Assembly titled ‘International Day of Non-Violence’ will be held on October 3rd. This assembly aims to promote the ideals of peace, tolerance and non- violence among students. It will also help them involve in a peaceful behavior in the midst of conflicts and get inspired by role models like Gandhiji, Nelson Mandela and others.
Intra-class Nukkad Natak will be conducted from October 18th to 22nd. The main purpose is to reach out students, to spread social issues in public and to create awareness virtually.
A Virtual Tour - National Parks of India will be organized on October 22nd. Through this virtual tour, students will learn all about wildlife conservation and preservation of the native & exotic population at the park.
Grade 7 & 8 (Boys)
A Special Assembly on Non-Violence and Play on Mahatma Gandhi will be held on October 1st. This activity will create awareness among students about the value of Non- Violence practice.
GK Quiz competition (Inter house) will be conducted on October 18th. The objective is to challenge students and expand their knowledge.
Open House will be organised on October 26th. The purpose is to discuss student’s individual learning plan. It will also help to make sure the roles of teacher, student and parent are clear, specific & designed to bring out the best from the student.
A Virtual Picnic will be held on October 29th. This virtual picnic will help students to enhance their social skills, team building and personal growth.
Grade 9 & 10 (Girls)
Talent Scan – Performing Arts (group dance competition) will be conducted on October 12th. Students will demonstrate their talent in dance, team spirit and stage presence.
Thematic Assembly – Ruby House (International day of Non-Violence) will be held on October 14th. This assembly will be an opportunity for students to pay tribute to the iconic leader - M.K. Gandhi.
Lego League (Micro Green Fest) will be organized on October 18th. Through this health and well-being activity, students will see variety of micro-greens display.
Grade 9 & 10
Sports Week will be conducted from October 13th till 20th. During this week, students will be provided an environment for physical development by organizing sport activities virtually.
Virtual Visit will be organized on October 25th. Students will be taken on a virtual tour to a place of interest. It will provide an experience for them to feel insights of the location.
Grade 9 & 10 (Boys)

Talents Day will be conducted on October 14th. This day caters the students’ ability to show their versatility in dancing, singing and art display. It will also help to boost their confidence and self- determination.
A 20 marks Unit Test will be conducted from October 8th till 20th. The purpose is to test students’ learning on portions covered in the month of September, 2020.
Round Square Post Card will be concluded on October 1st for grades 9 to 12. Every week, Round Square schools host post card activity to invite various schools around the world to share ideas and introduce their city or country to them. There will be a meeting with students of different schools from Oman, India, Bangladesh, Tanzania, South Africa, South Korea and Argentina. They will share ideas on ‘Multiculturalism’ and developing new normal during COVID situation.
Inter-School UN Day (Quiz competition) will be held on October 25th for grades 5 to 12. This inter-school event marks the importance of UN Day. It will also help students to enhance their knowledge related to UN charter, rules & procedures, and main functioning.
Leadership Training will be conducted during this month for grades 5 to 12. The objective is to provide training to Student Council members and to enhance their skills & capabilities towards the development and innovation of the school. Badge and tie distribution will also be included.
Round Square Collaboration will be organized during this month for grades 5 to 12. Students will be engaged in variety of activities. They will participate in various international Round Square activities / collaboration. It aims to develop their sense of being a global citizen.
IHS Clubs begins during this month (TBD) for grades 5 to 12. The purpose is to provide extra support for skill development in the areas of Art, Dance, Cookery, Debate, Oratory Photography, Quizzing and many more. Online clubs with variety of choices for students to enhance their skills and showcase their talent through different modes.
Student Talks will be held on October 5th for grade 11 and on October 7th for grade 12. The objective is to guide students on Careers.
Student Talks on the topics ‘Get Set Goal for DL’ will be held on October 11th for grade 8, ‘Managing & Handling Pressure during DL’ on October 12th for grade 9 boys & on October 20th for grade 9 girls, and ‘Exam Ready during DL’ on October 19th for grade 10 boys. These talks will help to guide students on the given topics.
